Making your “What to do in Mallorca” list

Making your “What to do in Mallorca” list for your holidays?

Then I’m going to take a gamble and say that you are probably making plans for you and your partner.  You’ve possibly been thinking about how to make the most of your social life this year and that definitely includes a holiday to the stunning, majestic island of Mallorca, just a couple of hours by air from your home town.

Do you prefer 4*+ and 5* hotels?   Maybe you’re even lucky enough to have a Mediterranean holiday home in Mallorca?  Then I’m also going to risk saying you’re probably someone who enjoys the finer things in life?   I had to grow old and wrinkly before I could claim that was me.  You, however, could be half my age, you still have a lot of life to live and you and want to enjoy every minute – no, every second!    Fortunately, I still think I’m 35 too!

Like we say at Son Amar, it’s not about the number of breaths we take – it’s about the moments that take our breath away!   So, once you´ve searched for luxury hotels in Palma and surrounding areas and when you´ve discovered the best beaches, you could well be thinking about a bit of variety at night.

On your Mallorca to do list could easily appear the amazing restaurants in and around Palma, (not forgetting El Castillo just 10 minutes from Palma, our family restaurant right here in the grounds of Son Amar).   Palma taxi drivers know a thing or too and it’s always worth asking them where might be a great place to go for that special meal in Palma, that special drink, that special club and that special show!

Puerto Portals, considered one of the best yacht marinas in the Mediterranean, is famous for people-watching, fabulous shops and great restaurants.  Day-clubs and night-clubs like Social Club Mallorca, Palma’s premiere club, in front of the sea on the Paseo Maritimo, certainly appeals to the young at heart.   And for something you and your guests were never expecting to find here, you have to put the Son Amar Dinner Show on your ‘best things to do in Mallorca’ list of favourites.

A night at Son Amar is the best night-life entertainment in Mallorca.  If Carling made dinner shows, this would be it!   You’ll be blown away by a live band, singers, dancers and world-class comedians and acrobats.  The stars of the Son Amar show are extremely talented people.  They’ve performed before royalty at the London Palladium while others have won international awards and our comedian has been awarded the highest accolade in the world at the Montreux Festival.  It doesn’t matter how many times I’ve seen the show, I still hold my breath for the death-defying balancing act, and the world-class trapeze artists (no safety harness here).  Each time I see something new – a little twist here or a new feature there – and I still burst out laughing at our comedian – yes, we all love Cesar Diaz, a favourite of audiences all over the world.  Goodness, I’ve not even mentioned the fountains!  Bellagio Las Vegas – eat your heart out!

For some of the theatre’s best seats and menus choose Platinum and for something really out-of-the-ordinary, then VIP will give you an unforgettable Son Amar experience. I recommend you take the back-stage tour included with your VIP ticket – well worth it.   These two higher categories have limited seating and sell our first and fast.  That said, Gold guests heap praise upon the sheer value for money – to see a show of this quality, including a 4 course meal, already exceeds expectations.

So when you think night-life, when you are looking for something quite extraordinary, when you want to impress that special someone then, top of your “What to do in Mallorca” list, must be the Son Amar Dinner Show!  See you there – we’ll be keeping your seat warm!
